How to Clean with an Ultrasonic Machine Necklaces, Earrings, Bracelets, Rings, Watches, Etc.
Because Ultrasonic Machines like the VGT-2000 clean items with sound waves,
precautions must be taken when using these machines on jewelry. For example,
only gemstones with a Moh’s Scale rating of 7 or higher may be cleaned
in an Ultrasonic machine. Softer gemstones can become damaged in Ultrasonic machines. Also remember that Ultra Sonic machines like the VGT-2000
have the ability to dislodge gemstones that are in loose or weak settings.
Be sure to read all operating directions and warnings when using an Ultrasonic machine.
Liquid Jewelry Cleaner – For deep cleaning, use as
often as needed to remove unwanted dirt, grease, and grime from jewelry items,
tools, eyeglasses, watches, etc. To Clean – We recommend filling the VGT-2000 (or other
Ultrasonic machines) with water and adding 1-2 tablespoons of our Liquid
Jewelry Cleaner to improve cleaning results. Then rinse items with water and
dry.
